Guskou Budori no Denki (2012)


* Based on a classic story by Miyazawa Kenji.

The fairy tale follows a young man named Guskou in the Tohoku forests of northeastern Japan in the 1920s. After an onslaught of droughts and natural disasters, Guskou is forced to leave his home and search for a better life elsewhere. Guskou joins a group of scientists at the Ihatov Volcano Department, which deals with the same natural disasters that drove Guskou from his home.

Note: Originally produced by Group TAC, this project was halted for some time because of the studio’s bankruptcy before being taken over by Tezuka Production.

Gekijouban Tiger & Bunny


The first of two Tiger and Bunny movies, based on the first two episodes of the TV series with additional new scenes.

The Beginning
Kotetsu T. Kaburagi is a super-powered hero who fights crime in the name of corporate sponsors on Hero TV. After being forced by a merger to work for a new company, he is assigned an antagonistic partner named Barnaby Brooks, Jr. As their tumultuous relationship as the first hero duo progresses, they must capture a capable thief who now threatens the reputation of all the heroes.

The Rising
The film will revolve around a mystery that happens on the day of the “Justice Day” festival that celebrates Sternbild’s legendary goddess.

Lupin Sansei: Touhou Kenbunroku – Another Page


Lupin has become a suspect in the murder of a professor named Theo Argent. The professor had just discovered the missing page of Marco Polo’s Record of Observations of the East travel journal. As Lupin is being pursued by the police, he ends up getting unlikely help from the granddaughter of Theo Argent, Lisa.

The Idolmaster: Shiny Festa

Music in the world, included in Honey Sound:
Haruka, Chihaya and Azusa are chosen for the trip to Vacation Island. As Ritsuko is chosen to accompany them in place of the Producer they made her perform with them. How are they going to win the festival when they discover Jupiter is also participating and they still can’t decide how to approach the show.

Music of love, included in Groovy Tune:
Miki, Yukiho, Makoto and Takane are chosen this time. Miki decided they should do a love song, despite the others lacking such experience in romance so she comes up with the idea to have each member have a date with the Producer to learn more about love.

Music is a friend, included in Funky Note:
The Producer brings Yayoi, Iori, Hibiki, Ami and Mami to the resort for the musical festival. Iori suggests they spend their first day playing around. The next day, however, Iori discovers she has lost her precious rabbit, Charles.

Iron Man: Rise of Technovore


The film explores a confrontation between Iron Man and the villainous Ezekiel Stane, who develops new bio-technology that seemingly outclasses the Iron Man armor. After Stane unleashes a terrorist attack and sets Tony Stark up to take the fall, Iron Man must evade S.H.I.E.L.D.’s man hunt and find a way to clear his name.

Zettai Junpaku: Mahou Shoujo

Kuramoto Erica, Nitta Yui, Suzuhara Misa and Sasaki Kotone are not your average school girls. They are in fact blessed with supernatural powers, which they use to defend the common people from alien creatures.

Ippatsu Hicchuu!! Devander


Tatsunoko’s (Speed Racer, Gatchaman, Tekkaman) 50th anniversary celebrations include the release of OVA Ippatsu Hicchuu!! Devander on the October 19th date of the studio’s founding.

Sankarea (2012)


* Based on the manga by Hattori Mitsuru, serialised in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine since December 2009.

OVA 1 (Episode 0) — “Actually, this story happened (seven months) before I got to know Rea. That day, we drove to a relative’s place in Tohoku. My uncle piled up a bunch of books in his warehouse. So he decided to sort them out and move them to the family archives. And we were asked to help sort those books. Gramps and Baabu were looking after the house. I still do not know why Ranko came with us.” — Furuya Chihiro

Visiting Tohoku brings back nightmarish memories of Chihiro’s mother’s violent death, something his father, Furuya Doon does not want to talk about. Among the huge book pile Chihiro notices an old picture of his mother, letting him discover a mysterious book on the topic of resurrecting the dead. Later in a nearby onsen, Chihiro encounters Rea for the first time.

OVA 2 (Episode 14) — Sanka Aria, Sanka Dan’ichirou’s second wife, is still driven to alcohol by her husband’s obsession with his daughter Rea. Taking a bath, Aria seems to dream…

Chihiro and his family discover a strange girl lying under their temple, who does not want to talk to anyone. And when Rea later brings her dinner, Rea is pushed down the stairs by her…

Note: Bundled with the sixth and seventh limited-edition volumes of the manga. These OVAs are chronologically placed as the episodes 0 and 14 of Sankarea, respectively.

Dantalian no Shoka: Ibarahime


* Based on Mikumo Gakuto’s Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian (Dantalian no Shoka) light novel series.

Note: This OVA was bundled with the fifth volume of Abeno Chako’s manga adaptation. Initially it was slated to bundle with the ninth volume of Mikumo Gakuto’s original light novel series, but was cancelled due to various circumstances.
